Alex was nominated for a CDCT Grant by his tutors due to his commitment to the course as a student rep and ambassador, and his determination and positive, Cam-do attitude. He was deservedly awarded £500 from The CDCT.

At the time of receiving The CDCT Grant in January 2025, Alex was a third year Graphic Design student studying at De Montfort University.

‘Alex is an approachable student who has become a key member of our open day team. He is incredibly invested in his design practice and his future in the creative industries. During his summer placement he worked as part of a design team of three students on an exhibition design project and when he came back he was happy to share his experience with students and give guidance on how to approach internships and placements. Alex goes beyond being a very hard working student, who is kind and empathetic to others. He also exhibits a real driven commitment to hard work and to make the most of his time on the course. He takes the opportunities offered him and contributes to others success.’

Alex is so proud to have been recognised by her tutors and The CDCT, and plans to use the Grant to put towards a study trip to Rotterdam and allow him to enter more student competitions to showcase his work and expand his networks.
