As Cameron's Dad, I see the charity as an opportunity to turn a devastating tragedy into something positive that will ensure that Cameron's name and all that he believed in will never be forgotten.
Helping and supporting other students was so important to Cameron and by establishing the charity, we can continue to honour his values, creating a lasting legacy that our wonderful son would be so very proud of.

Words cannot express the love and pride of calling myself Cam’s mum. He amazed me in all he achieved in his short life, and was such an inspiration to all – a legacy I’m sure will continue.
Cam is undoubtedly my greatest achievement and I will honour his beautiful memory with the Cameron Day Charitable Trust.

Becoming a Mum to Cameron will forever be the single greatest privilege of my lifetime. My admiration of Cameron's achievements in design is immeasurable, but beyond this, my greatest sense of pride comes from Cameron himself; his remarkable, extraordinary self.
The ethos and work of The CDCT is rooted in Cameron's values and reflects his continual endeavours to develop and improve, always striving for excellence. With Cameron at the heart of The CDCT, it is a great honour to be a part of the team to carry this forward.

‘I can no longer help Cam to achieve his goals so will do my best to help other students to achieve theirs, as he undoubtably would have done.’

As Cam’s big sister, I had the honour of watching him grow, thrive and succeed from the moment he was born. I protected him fiercely, supported him continuously and love him unconditionally.
I am so proud to support the CDCT and the values it strives to fulfil, in honour of Cam and his legacy.

I have the honour of calling Cam my best friend. I have always been incredibly proud of not only Cam’s amazing achievements, but his dedication to helping the people who were lucky enough to be around him.
Cam was an amazing designer, who strived for excellence for both himself and others. I am very proud to be a part of The CDCT, a charity which honours his values and supports students to reach their full potential, something which Cam would be extremely proud of.

As an aunt to Cameron, watching him grow personally and professionally into a magnificent young man and talented designer was a huge privilege and honour.
An honour that has transformed into a personal passion in supporting the charity and its aims to "champion" other creative minds. Just as Cam always would and did: a great legacy to a wonderful nephew.
-
Tim Nye
Tim is a retired police officer, who now writes and helps run his wife’s Sheffield based business, Marmadukes. He was proud to be Cameron’s godfather.
-
Rhona Breeze-Lawlor
I was lucky enough to be one of Cam’s tutors at the University of Lincoln from September 2019 until June 2021, when he completed his studies. I’m honoured to be a part of the CDCT team and passionate about continuing Cam’s legacy through supporting young creatives to achieve their potential.

Cam was like a brother to me during our time at uni – I had the great honour of both being one of his coursemates and then living with him in our final year. I will forever cherish the time that I got to spend with him, as it was truly special.
The CDCT is a true testament to how wonderful Cam was – a shining light to those students who maybe just need a little inspiration. Through the charity and the people who knew him, Cam’s guidance and compassion live on and that is a truly beautiful thing to think about.
