Shivam was nominated for a CDCT Grant by his tutors due to his unquestionable commitment to his studies — and showing a Cam-do spirit in all he does. He was deservedly awarded £500 from The CDCT.

At the time of receiving The CDCT Grant in January 2025, Shivam was a second year Graphic Communication student studying at the University of Northampton.

‘Shivam is thoroughly engaged with all aspects of the course, responding positively to every creative challenge, while also considering other ways to help support his understanding of design practice. He recently suggested and put himself forward to become a mentor to the current 1st year and help support the learning on their current creative projects. His enthusiasm and hard working approach for his design projects is infectious, helping to encourage his fellow students to proactively engage and meet client deadlines, while working on a recent live client project brief.’

Shivam is delighted to have been recognised by his tutors and The CDCT with a Grant, and plans to use it to put towards a professional camera and help him pursue his love of photography and integrate it into his designs. ‘This grant symbolises a step towards my larger dream of creating work that inspires and connects and gives a meaningful legacy.’
